HOP! at the cutting edge of innovation
February 8 and 9, 2023, HOP!'s Engineering and Maintenance team. has been invited to the SARA BY Ergoss (1) and Avionica (2) user conference SARA by Ergoss (1) et Avionica in Miami as a pilot customer for AV SARA (a complete solution for recording, transmitting and analyzing flight data).
Our employees presented the installation of Avionica's QAR 4G on our fleet, and the use of the SARA TECH tool for predictive maintenanceto the 70 conference participants (airlines, freight carriers and certification bodies).
Effective December 2020, All our aircraft are equipped with Avionica QAR (Quick Access Recorder) recorders and 4G antennas. Thanks to this innovative equipment, the aircraft returns all flight data and parameters such as speed, altitude, aircraft position, engine performance, system parameters, etc. within minutes of landing, via the 4G network.
HOP! is the first airline in the world to install these Avionica 4G QARs on E-JETS. While most airlines are still working on manual data offloads within 3 to 5 days, our data is now transmitted within minutes of landing. The data recovery rate is over 99.5%, one of the best in the industry.
This gives the Company's Flight Analysis department access to flight data more quickly and in greater quantity for its Flight Data Monitoring analyses.
Reliability of the installed system and good recovery rate have also been used to supply several of HOP!'s Engineering and Maintenance Department to be more effective in their monitoring.
The collaboration between HOP! and Ergoss continues with the development of SARA TECH, a module that will enable our technical teams to optimize monitoring and predictive maintenance work i.e. the anticipation of failure through mathematical analysis of data. Mathematical modeling will detect fault signals before they occur!
This will enable us to anticipate and schedule maintenance operations, and avoid/limit the risk of downtime. disruptions to flight operations, and helps to ensure the safety of the flights
